Of All the Reasons to Love Nedspace… It’s All About the Food

One of the things I absolutely #Love about hanging out at Nedspace are the nearby Food Choices; from formal (business entertaining) to the rewarding cultural food journeys of the Food Carts on 9th and Alder that feed my stomach and soul.

I’m in Food Nirvana
I am Here; I am Now; I only need to walk a few blocks… and in a few moments, to find my Place

Nedspace, portland Oregon, downtown portland, pdxThe other day I read an OregonLive.com review of the Bing Mi Food Cart on 9th and Alder just a few steps away from my downtown office at Nedspace on Broadway and Washington (707 SW Washington); “Bing Mi has really dialed in their Jian Bing over the past two years. Based on a singular crepe eaten in haste on the street in Beijing, with a fried wonton at the core and pickled mustard stems in the filling, their crispy, lightning quick version…”

I eMail my food buddy Kurt Sussman of my “discovery”; he offers to buy my breakfast the next morning; no argument from me — I’m In!

The next morning, here’s what I found delicious
Jian Bing is a simple, savory dish from the villages of Northern China. Made with a freshly scrambled egg, the “Bing” includes fermented black bean paste, chili sauce, pickled vegetables, green onion, cilantro, and a crispy fried cracker all rolled into a perfectly grilled Chinese crepe. Alisa has it all spelled out for you to make it super easy. If needed, you are able to add additional items, why mess with perfection… for only $6-Bucks. Thank you, Kurt.

Super Fast, Super Delicious, and Super Filling; I was slowing down as I neared complete consumption. I’ll be back! Alisa. Thank you for the show and a fantastic “New” breakfast spot for me @BingMiFoodCart.
